Culture & Well Being at KASA Building Group
Workplace Culture & Well Being
The industry has progressed in various ways over the last few decades especially in the last 10 years where we’ve seen not only the industry progress, but society as a whole has moved forward in leaps and bounds. It is important to recognize this.
Kasa Building Group is dedicated to taking the workplace Culture, Physical & Mental well-being of its staff & fellow contractors seriously. It is imperative we constantly assess, monitor and action these areas, firstly and most importantly for the people around us, but also to continue being an Industry leader in setting the example. If we can look after our staff and company in the workplace, then we believe this is a solid foundation to making a real change in the homes of thousands of Australians all around the country, people come first.
Work Health & Safety On-Site
Kasa Building Group adheres to all Federal, State and Local Government and Site laws, rules and regulations regarding safety. It is paramount to a successful project and ensures staff can lay down their tools and return home to their families after their rotation. We could quote and recite manuals and handbooks of safety regulations here, but we’d like to address and speak plainly about some of the simple things that tend to not be mentioned as much as they should be in the industry.
- Our staff and company require, monitor and enforce all PPE equipment be utilized at all times for all applications. Without this, you are setting yourself up for failure and drastically increase the risk of injury or worse. The days of “She’ll be right” are over, and the days of “Plan, Prepare & Execute” are here.
- A clean project is a good project. We never underestimate the power of a clean work site. It further minimizes risk of injury, wastage and allows for more accurate quality control assessments.
- Hydration is not something widely talked about. It is important to look at for your workmates and ensure they are taking measures to maintain hydration. A high percentage of infrastructure projects undertaken are in some of Australia’s warmer environments. In saying this, we also ensure the day-to-day weather temperament is monitored and assessed for the impact of staff physical and mental safety.
Supporting Our Community – Foundation Support
We’re passionate about any organization that supports and helps people of all ages, genders and geographics. One that truly stands out for our Directors Ash & Suzy Heit is the AEIOU Foundation. Watch our video on Facebook our close friend and colleague, Big Jeff, who in the name of AEIOU support for children with Autism underwent the big shave!
Some would say Jeff’s big beard and head full of hair defined his visual character, but for Jeff it was a no brainer and such a small sacrifice to make for the help and support it generates for kids with Autism.
